The Espresso Martini turns a fresh shot of coffee into a lively after-dinner cocktail. A vigorous shake with ice creates its signature foam, finished with three coffee beans.

Ingredients

1 serving
  • 50 mlvodka
  • 30 mlcoffee liqueur (Kahlúa)
  • 10 mlsugar syrup
  • 30 mlespressoone strong single shot; 30 ml is a practical measure
  • 3 ×coffee beanfor garnish

How to make it

  1. Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, sugar syrup and strong espresso to a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is cold.

  3. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish the foam with three coffee beans.
